Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Third-Party Utility Coordinator to join our team managing major infrastructure projects. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and oversee third-party management activities, ensuring seamless collaboration between Owners, public agencies, consultants, constructors and other stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of a Third-Party Management Plan to monitor commitments throughout the program’s lifecycle.
  • Assist in drafting, finalizing, and implementing third-party agreements.
  • Oversee the management of third-party agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support right-of-way acquisition and secure necessary temporary easements.
  • Manage and track program-related permits.
  • Develop and coordinate utility agreements.
  • Coordinate and communicate with a diverse audience of stakeholders.

1. Tool Coordination & Development:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop tracking tools for third-party management metrics and issue escalation.
  • Integrate third-party management tracking into existing dashboard reporting tools.

2. Permitting, ROW, Utilities, and Interfaces:

  • Coordinate the management and reporting of permitting, right-of-way acquisition, utility management, and third-party interfaces.
  • Facilitate integration with public agency databases for permit tracking.
  • Provide tools to plan and clarify the critical path for commitments and acquisitions.

3. Agreements and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update an agreements dashboard on a SharePoint site.
  • Coordinate workflows for agreement development in alignment with Owner policies.
  • Track and report on the status of agreements to provide insights for critical path planning.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in utility coordination, utility relocation, or construction project management.
  • Experience coordinating projects, particularly managing third-party agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of utility systems, infrastructure design, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with right-of-way acquisition, permitting processes, and utility management.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to support the development and implementation of tracking and reporting tools.

    The position is Full Time.
    Salary is DOE.
